NEWS!   POLYPROPYLENE CHANNEL THE CLEAN CHOICE OVER PVC
Ell-Gro hydroponics continue to promote the advantages of using polypropylene hydroponic channel. Greenpeace has some points of interest and information on the subject matter PVC in todays consumer society. Scroll down to see the links to the Greenpeace web pages.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO FARMERS
Ell-Gro hydroponic channel is made from polypropylene!  We market our Ell-Gro hydroponic channel as being "Clean & Green" because it is delivered to you clean ready for installation. The bundles of channel are wrapped with an 80um polyurethane film prior to despatch so that the product remains "Clean" when delivered, free from road grime, dust and dirt.
We have coloured our polypropylene hydroponic channel "Green" to reduce UV glare and reflection from the sun.

THE POLYPROPYLENE BENEFIT TO GROWERS
Polypropylene hydroponic channel is stabilised. This mean aggressive nutrients do not leachate from the channel and therefore can not be absorbed into the plants for human consumption. Produce markets and agents, retailers and consumers are becoming more aware of the health benefits of produce grown in polypropylene channel.

Ell-Gro hydroponic channel is made from FOOD GRADE SAFE polypropylene, the same material used for microwave food containers. It is tough and durable, and that's why polypropylene is used for the manufacture of such products as car bumper bars and seats in sports stadiums.
Ell-Gro polypropylene hydroponic channel is "Thermo Stable". (ie: It does not readily transmit heat or cold).
